Corsa Performance First-Order Guide 2026: From Fitment Check to Install Day, Step by Step

Somewhere between watching sound clips at midnight and actually clicking "Add to cart," most truck owners stall. The listings are long, the part numbers look alike, and a cat-back that costs more than a set of tires feels like a big leap for a first order.

It doesn't have to be. Ordering from Corsa Performance, the Berea, Ohio exhaust maker, follows a clear path once you know where to look. We walked through it in October 2026 using one common truck as the example, a 2019–2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L V8, and pulled every step from Corsa's listings, FAQ and shipping and return policy. Swap in your own vehicle and the steps stay the same.

Step 1: Pin Down Your Exact Truck

Corsa builds each system for a specific fitment, so the first job is getting four details right: model year, engine, cab and bed, and wheelbase. For our Silverado, the listings split by wheelbase. A Crew Cab short bed or Double Cab standard bed is the 147.5-inch wheelbase; longer trucks need a 157-inch version.

Then read the small notes under "Vehicle Fitment." They're where surprises hide:

  • The single-side-exit system (21030) says it may not fit trucks with factory mud flaps.
  • The dual-rear-exit systems (21028 and 21199) note that, as of 9/14/2022, they fit trucks with the Max Tow package, with added clearance for the wiring harness.
  • The closed box air intake (45953) fits the 2019 new body style only.

Do this if: you've ever bought a part that "should" have fit. Five minutes with your registration and a tape measure saves a return.

Step 2: Learn to Read a Corsa Listing Title

Corsa titles pack the whole spec into one line. Here's how to decode "Sport / 3.0 in Cat-Back SSE 4.0 in Twin Tips | 2019-2025 Silverado Sierra, Denali 5.3L 147WB (21030)":

Piece of the titleWhat it tells you
SportThe sound level (others include Touring and Xtreme)
3.0 in Cat-BackPipe size and which section it replaces
SSE / DRESingle Side Exit or Dual Rear Exit
Twin 4.0 in TipsTip layout and diameter
147WBThe wheelbase it fits
(21030)The part number, which also appears on instructions and tip kits

Step 3: Choose the Look and the Sound

For the same 2019–2025 Silverado 5.3L, Corsa offers three Sport-level cat-backs, and the real difference is where the tips sit and what they look like:

  • Factory-bezel look (21028), $1,653.99: a 3.0-inch to 2.5-inch dual rear exit that reuses your truck's factory bezels. Corsa lists a 47% flow increase. Pick it if you like the stock look and want the change to be all sound.
  • Side exit with twin 4.0-inch tips (21030), from $1,733.99: one side exit with twin polished Pro-Series tips, or $1,784.99 in Black PVD. Pick it if you want the tips visible from the side of the truck and don't run factory mud flaps.
  • Dual rear exit with twin 4.0-inch tips (21199), from $1,835.99: four dual-wall slash-cut tips, $1,835.99 in black powder coat or $1,886.99 polished, also with a 47% flow increase. Pick it if you want the boldest rear view.

Driving an older 2014–2019 truck? Corsa's newer Xtreme Front of Tire Exit cat-back (21310) was $899.99 polished or $949.99 in black powder coat when we checked. It's 304 stainless and exits just ahead of the rear tire.

To hear a system first, Corsa's FAQ says to search your vehicle or part number and click the product video. Its own note applies: recorded sound clips can vary from the real exhaust note because of recording equipment and speakers, so use them to compare levels rather than as the final word.

Step 4: Check Emissions Status Before You Pay

The Silverado 5.3L closed box intake, listed as "CARB EO Unavailable."

If you live in California or a state that follows its rules, this step decides what you can buy. Corsa's shipping policy says some items aren't eligible to ship to those states, and that it will try to block sales of products without a valid CARB Executive Order. For our Silverado, the Closed Box Air Intake (45953) at $444.99 to $485.99 is marked "CARB EO Unavailable" on every fitment line. Check the status on your own part's page, and look up your state and local noise rules too.

Step 5: Checkout Without Surprises

  • Shipping cost: free on US Ground orders over $100, which every exhaust system clears on its own. Flat-rate orders generally go by FedEx Ground.
  • Address: US orders can't ship to a PO box. A signature is mandatory on purchases of $3,000 or more, and an adult signature is added to most orders.
  • Sales tax: added to most US orders and shown before you finalize, as long as your ZIP code is right.
  • Paying over time: Affirm is offered. Corsa's policy notes that if an item has an extended ship date, loan payments may come due before it ships.
  • Military or first responder? Verify through GovX for a single-use code before you check out. Corsa says it can't be combined with other offers.

Step 6: What Happens After You Click "Pay"

  1. Confirmation email: it includes an estimated ship date. If you'd rather not sign for the box, reply to this email right away and ask for the signature requirement to be removed (not possible on $3,000+ orders).
  2. Shipping: Corsa builds to order and says most orders ship within a week. In-stock items usually go out in 1–2 business days, and out-of-stock items still ship within 2 weeks in most cases.
  3. Tracking: a second email arrives once the order ships, with tracking if available.
  4. Changed your mind? Cancel before it ships by emailing orders@corsaperformance.com with your order number. Corsa says a 5% cancellation fee may apply and refunds can take 5–7 business days to show on your card.

Step 7: Delivery Day and the Golden Rule

Unbox everything and check it against the instructions before a single bolt comes off the truck. Corsa says everything needed for installation is included with each system. Here's why the check matters: returns are only accepted on new, unused, never-installed, undamaged items, requested within 30 days of purchase and arranged by phone first (1-800-486-0999). A restocking fee of up to 20% may apply, shipping isn't refunded, and there are no returns on installed parts.

Step 8: Install Day

The 21211 replacement tip kit for 2019–2023 Silverado and Sierra Corsa systems.

Download the instructions from the "Install/Warranty" section of your product page. Corsa's FAQ puts typical installs at 1–2 hours, depending on the vehicle and your skill, and highly recommends a lift and a friend to handle the larger pieces. Most systems need no permanent modifications. One firm rule: don't weld it on. Corsa says welding isn't an approved method and voids the limited lifetime warranty. If a check engine light appears afterward, which the brand calls rare, call customer service.

Later, if you want a different look, Corsa sells tip kits made for its systems. The Twin 4.0-inch Pro-Series Tip Kit (21211) for 2019–2023 Silverado and Sierra Corsa cat-backs is $449.99 polished or $499.99 in black powder coat, with clamps included.

The Bottom Line

A first Corsa order goes smoothly when you treat it like a checklist: exact fitment, the right exit style, emissions status, a street address, then a careful look in the box before you install. For a 2019–2025 Silverado 5.3L, that means choosing between a factory-look dual exit at $1,653.99, a side exit from $1,733.99 or a four-tip rear exit from $1,835.99. Check our Corsa Performance deals page before you order.
