Your First aosu Order, Step by Step (2026): From Cart to Camera on the Wall

Your First aosu Order, Step by Step (2026): From Cart to Camera on the Wall

The box lands on the porch on a Thursday. Inside: a small white camera, a bag of screws, a charging cable and a folded manual. Twenty minutes later you're on a step stool by the side gate, phone in one hand, drill in the other, watching a live picture of your own driveway pop up in the aosu app. That's the whole first-order experience when it goes right, and most of what makes it go right happens before you ever click "Add to cart."

This is a walkthrough for your first aosu order: which device to start with, how to build a cart that unlocks the brand's own codes, what happens after you pay, how setup works and what the return rules really say. King Review pulled every detail from the aosu US store, its product pages, FAQ and policies in October 2026.

Step 1: Start With One Problem, Not the Whole Catalog

aosu sells dozens of cameras, kits and bundles, and the names blur fast. The quickest way through is to name the one thing that bugs you most, then match it to a single device:

Your problemFirst pickPrice (Oct 2026)Why it fits
Parcels vanish from the doorstepVideo Doorbell SE$79.99170° head-to-toe view and package alerts without a subscription, per aosu
A side gate or shed with no outletWireless Cam Lite$49.99100% wireless 2K battery camera with spotlight, siren and PIR detection
A driveway with power nearbySecurity Cam D1 SE$64.99Wired, so it can record 24/7; 360° pan and 90° tilt
Front and back yard, no wiringSolarCam System P1 SE 2-Cam Kit$199.99Two solar cameras plus a 32GB aosuBase hub
Checking on the dog while you're outIndoorCam P1$35.992K, 360° view, one-touch calls, 5GHz and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi

Buy the doorbell first if deliveries are your daily worry. Buy a kit first if you already know you want two or more outdoor cameras, because the hub changes how storage works (more on that next).

The Video Doorbell SE is built to spot parcels at the door and alert you when one arrives or someone picks it up, according to aosu.

Step 2: Decide Where Your Clips Will Live

This one choice shapes your real total more than any sale tag. aosu's own FAQ spells it out:

  • Kits include a hub. The aosuBase that ships with SolarCam kits has 32GB of built-in storage, so you don't need an SD card or a monthly plan to keep motion clips, get alerts, watch live and download events.
  • Standalone cameras don't. An SD card isn't included, so you'll need a compatible microSD card or an optional cloud plan to save recordings.
  • Cloud is optional. The aosuProtect+ page lists a $4.99/month Basic plan and an $8.99/month plan with Face ID for doorbells, with a 30-day free trial and cancel-anytime terms.

One more expectation to set: solar and battery cameras are event recorders. aosu says the SolarCam D1 Classic wakes and records when it detects motion to save power, and suggests a continuously powered wired camera if you need a full 24/7 timeline. That's exactly the gap the plug-in Security Cam D1 SE fills.

Step 3: Build a Cart That Clears a Threshold

aosu's Halloween sale page runs a "Spend More, Save More" ladder, and a first order is the easiest time to use it. What the brand's banner listed in October 2026:

  • Over $199: 15% off with code aosu15.
  • Over $499: a free indoor camera, one month of free cloud storage and free Seel package protection.
  • Over $699: $80 off with code aosu80, a free video doorbell and a month of cloud storage.

Small carts can get there with a little planning. The SolarCam System P1 SE 2-Cam Kit at $199.99 sits just over the first line on its own. The SolarCam D1 SE + Video Doorbell Pro starter bundle is $163.99; add an IndoorCam P1 ($35.99) and the cart reaches $199.98. The page doesn't say whether every code stacks with every bundle price, so let the checkout total be the judge before you pay. There's also a "Spin & Score" wheel that aosu says can add $2–$10 off or a free indoor camera.

At checkout, aosu accepts major cards, Google Pay and PayPal, and its banner advertises four interest-free payments through Klarna or PayPal.

Step 4: Pay, Then Watch the Clock

  1. Double-check the address. aosu can't ship to PO Boxes.
  2. Changed your mind? Cancel within 24 hours of payment. Once an order ships, it can't be changed or canceled.
  3. Processing: starts within 1–2 business days, and you get a tracking number by email when it ships.
  4. Delivery: free to the US, with transit of 2–5 business days. aosu says prices include applicable tariffs, with no extra fees on delivery.

Step 5: Unbox, Download, Mount

Before the box arrives, get the aosu app; the brand's download page says it supports iOS and Android. Then follow the device:

  • Kits: the SolarCam D1 Classic Kit box lists the aosuBase, the cameras, a charging cable and adapter, an instruction manual and mounting screws. aosu says the P1 SE system goes up with four drilled holes in about two minutes.
  • Video Doorbell SE: two steps on the product page. Mount the included 15° wedge kit, fully charge the doorbell with the included adapter, then click it into the wedge.
  • Wi-Fi: the Wireless Cam Lite runs on 2.4GHz, while the IndoorCam P1 works on 5GHz or 2.4GHz.

aosu's FAQ adds a few placement tips worth following on day one: test motion detection and signal strength before you finish the install, point the default view at the path people actually walk, and avoid aiming straight at busy roads, reflective surfaces or swaying branches. Solar models want sun, too. aosu says the D1 Classic panel keeps the camera charged with about two hours of direct sunlight a day under typical use.

Step 6: Know Your Exit Before You Need It

aosu offers a 30-day money-back policy on products bought from its official website, counted from when you receive the order. The fine print matters:

  • Email support@aosulife.com with your order number first. Returns sent without aosu's permission can be refused.
  • Items should come back with the box, packaging and all contents, unused and unmarked. The policy says this condition can be relaxed for quality reasons.
  • You cover return shipping to the warehouse aosu confirms.
  • Once a refund is approved, allow 3–5 business days for it to reach your original payment method.
  • Bought from another retailer? Returns go through that retailer.

After that, a 12-month limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship on products bought from aosu or an authorized reseller, and aosu provides a prepaid label when it needs a unit back for inspection. US phone support is +1-866-905-9950, Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM PST.

After the First Box: Room to Grow

A first order doesn't lock you in. aosu says each aosuBase in the P1 SE system handles up to four cameras of the same model, and the larger aosuBase 2.0 links up to six compatible cameras. Once you've ordered, the referral program pays a 15% coupon and cash rewards when friends buy through your link.

First-Order FAQ

Do I need a subscription for my first aosu camera?

Not with a kit, since the aosuBase stores clips locally. A standalone camera needs a microSD card (not included) or an optional cloud plan to save recordings.

Can I change my order after paying?

Only quickly. aosu asks for cancellations within 24 hours of payment, and shipped orders can't be changed.

How fast will it arrive?

Processing starts within 1–2 business days, then US transit takes 2–5 business days, with free shipping on every order.

What if the camera doesn't suit my yard?

Email support within 30 days of receiving it. Keep all packaging, and expect to pay the return postage.

The Bottom Line

A smooth first aosu order is mostly planning: pick one problem, choose a kit if you want storage without a monthly fee, nudge the cart past $199 for aosu15, and keep the box until you're sure. Then it's an app download and a few screws. Check our aosu deals page before you check out.
